The School of Education is compromised of three departments: Athletic Training Education, Physical Education, and Teacher Education.
The Athletic Training Education Program is designed to give students the knowledge and experience necessary to pursue a career in athletic training. Upon graduation, students will be qualified to sit for the national certification examination, commonly known as the BOC (Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers).
The Physical Education Department offers general education courses in physical education and a non-licensure Physical Education major.
The Teacher Education Department offers both baccalaureate and master level programs for initial teacher licensure in elementary education (K-6), middle grades education (4-8), secondary education (7-12), K-012 music education (both vocal and instrumental), and K-12 physical education. The M.Ed. is also available to licensed teachers who wish to pursue master's level study as advanced candidates.
